Turas Training has worked in partnership with Maynooth University since 2013 to deliver the Level 7 Certificate in Addiction Studies.
Programme Rationale
This course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to respond effectively and confidently to addiction-related issues in the workplace and within the community.
Programme Duration
Students will attend 1 evening per week in-person for a 3-hour facilitated workshop/tutorial every Wednesday evening from 6.00pm to 9.00pm throughout the academic year in Bluebell. There will also be a number of workshops/tutorials at Maynooth University taking place on Saturdays from 9.30am to 5.00pm throughout the year.

The course fee is €1,450.00.

Applications for the 2026/27 academic year will open in Spring 2026.

While there are no strict eligibility criteria, applications will be assessed based on the applicant’s ability to:
Applicants may also be invited to meet with the course organisers to discuss their application.
The closing date for applications is 4 September 2026. However, please note that places are limited to 25 participants, and the course is likely to reach capacity before the closing date. If all places are filled, a waiting list will be established based on the application criteria and the date of application. Should a place become available, it will be offered to the next eligible applicant on the waiting list. Full payment will be required at that stage to secure the place by EFT.
